I used to have your problem, as I was afraid of heights as well. With practice, and telling yourself that nothing can harm you in dreams, it sure can be overcome. Approach your goal with a relaxed mind, and it can be easier. Just take it one step at a time. I got less scared of heights in lucid dreams by jumping off tall buildings, and then landing.
Not sure how easy it will be for you, but if you try and do overcome your fear of heights in your lucid dreams, you might find yourself being less afraid of heights in real life. That's what happened to me.
