      Cool Special Tricks

i wonder if any of you lucid dreamers have any special tricks for becoming lucid. (never had anyone ask that before, right.....)

when i have lucid dreams they slip away quickly. but lately i have had trouble becoming lucid. i reality check often when awake but seem not to while dreaming. i fly often so i remind myself while awake that if you find yourself flying you must be dreaming - but last night i flew and it seemed complete normal to me - is there a way to embed the flying thought so that when i fly i can recognize that i must be dreaming?

First of all, not to be rude or anything, but can you please use better grammar? That was hard to read.

To be honest there is no special trick to becoming lucid.

I didn't exactly get what you meant, what is your problem exactly?

How and when do you do your reality checks? What's the exact process you go through? Which RCs do you use, what is your behavior and mindframe when you do them?

There are a few things I guess you could do to help with the flying Dream Sign. Maybe look at pictures or draw pictures of yourself flying, thinking the whole time about lucid dreaming and reality checking. Put pictures or words about things related to flying around your environment, so that when you encounter them you think about flying and immediately reality check. Things like the words or pictures of planes, birds, parachutes, etc.

A good trick is the WBTB technique. Combined with MILD or autosuggestion, it can be very powerful for creating a lucid dream.

I didn't mean the spelling, I meant how there was virtually no punctuation. It made it difficult to read at first.

And from your shit grammar I'm not surprised. Learn to type before you put your hand on that keyboard.

That's a good idea, Shift. Until just now, I never realized ho difficult it would be to check such a Dream Sign.

Also, Scar, just ignore Chan. He's just trying to be cute. People like him need to be ignored.

Will do. I just don't like being insulted.

And I must agree, using flying as a dream sign would be difficult.

I would personally say to pick something much easier.

Question; How is he being full of himself when all he did was give you advice that you CLEARLY haven't considered following?

I was actually going to post the same thing, but Scar beat me to it. Even if it was hard to read, he still got the basic message and tried to help you. He even asked if you could explain it some more, because he got confused.

But what do you do? You post a statement that was, in my opinion, way out of line. Good job getting getting mean spirited over some much needed constructive criticism.

I think you're the one who lacks class, not Scar.

Now that's really classy, getting support and declaring a topic over. But how about everyone just give this stupid argument up. If you can't offer jukie help with his question, don't ramble on about grammar. Direct him to http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=15021 and be done with it. It honestly was not that difficult to understand his question, not enough to merit such rudeness.

This is the newb zone. Way to be welcoming guys
