      Sleeping PIlls

      it takes me a LONG time to fall asleep.... i was wondering for the WILD technique....would taking a sleeping pill be helpful? NOT like a Doctor subscribed one, just like over the counter stuff...Please don't just say NO that wont help because you don't agree with medicine or something like this. thanks!

      You usually WILD in the middle of the night after waking up from a 5 hour-ish sleep. So when you wake up you usually stay awake for a few minutes, then go and try to WILD. At this point you are tired enough to fall asleep pretty quickly anyway so a sleeping pill would not be necessary.

      Also most sleeping pills take at least half an hour before they have any affect. So in the middle of the night they wouldn't really help. I'm not sure though if they would have an affect if you were trying to WILD without any sleep before hand. I doubt it though as most sleeping pills work by making your mind/conscious more tired rather than making your body feel physically tired. So if anything it would probably hinder trying to WILD in this circumstance.

      Some better techniques for WILDing and relaxing (just for falling asleep naturally, without pills) are worth looking into. There are some quite good tips here; Click Here

      WILD = 0

      No, most sleeping pills suppress REM so you will have a hard time getting into a dream after taking one, even if you've had a few hours of sleep. However, if you take on at the beginning of the night, it's effects might still be active when you get up to WILD. I would recommend a melatonin bases sleeping pill however, not a Diphenhydramine based one.

      sleeping pills will make it much harder for you to remember your dreams,and even harder to control them. i got through lots of troubles lately, my shrink had not been so nice, i have managed to avoid pills untill now, but now they threatened to commit me if i refuse medication, and i have never been as frustrated and pissed off of my life, they got me opium base anti depressives+ sleeping pills+ anti psychotics, i think it's actually mostly the anti psychotics that make it so fucking hard to work proper, but i can't help thinking the sleeping pills and the antidepressives also make it impossible, if you can skip taking that kind of crap you should because it spoils all your efforts and capacities, it's supposed to make me feel better, but i get so frustrated to loose the level i used to have that it just makes me fucking grumpy all the time and even more agressive than before. but go tell your shrink "no thanks, it will prevent me from the natural high i get everyday from my mischievious activities" when you are facing an undetermined time in a nut house.
