      new dreamer :)

Hi, a few days ago i was talking to a friend who told me all about lucid dreaming and after a few google searches i found this site I've been stressed out from my yearly exams but I've got 2 weeks of holidays coming up so i hope to get some good practice in for lucid dreaming

      I have a few questions..
I've only just started trying to lucid dream, how long does it take the average person to have their first lucid dream that they can recall?

also i find it very hard to remember my dreams, most of the time i can remember at least one but sometimes from what i can remember nothing out of the ordinary happens... like one of my recent ones i was just sitting on some grass talking to friends, are these dreams still worth writing down? I didn't because it was 4am

Yeah. Always write ANY dreams down.

That way, if a common element keeps popping up, you can use it as a dream sign. For example, if you keep seeing your friends in dreams, every time you see your friends in real life, ask yourself if you are dreaming and do a reality check.

Then, the next time you see your friends in a dream, you will likely ask yourself if you are dreaming and do a reality check. Hey presto, you become lucid.

This may take a bit of practice but keeping a record of all your dreams helps you spot dream signs more easily.

      Good Luck!

All dreams need to be written down. I am a firm believer that we can stand to gain some knowledge about ourselves from any dream, no matter how mundane. Who knows, maybe that dream will pop up again, you could have de-ja-vu and reality cheach, and TADA! First lucid!!!!

Either way, welcome to Dream Views!!! Happy dreaming.
