      Kick Start

By all accounts developing the skill to have LDs on a regular basis involves discipline and hard work. Nothing wrong with that. The LD experience is certainly worth the effort.

In the beginning though, there are bound to be doubts and second thoughts. Is all this work going to pay off? The beginner needs inspiration. I got that by using supplements to induce a really vivid LD. The first time I took galantamine and choline I had an unbelievably vivid LD with complete consciousness and good control. The dreamscape was as detailed and interesting as physical reality, maybe more so.

Once you have an experience like that, you will no longer have any difficulty with motivation.

The Attaining Lucidity forum has tons of information on supplements.

I think that's one of the main reasons why people just give up on Lucid Dreaming ; look at the ratio of active members to inactive members.

Then again I wouldn't support using supplements but I'm not really against the use of it in order to get that 1st 'real' lucid dream, but that's just my opinion. If it is used all the time the line between LDing supplements and more serious drugs may become unclear to a newb and it could totally scare them away from the prospect of being able to control one's dreams...

      I'm rambling...

I definitely think it is important to develop the skill and control necessary to have LDs without supplements. It's always best to limit you dependencies.

But supplements, which are legal, non-narcotic, non-addictive, relatively inexpensive, and generally good for your health, are a good way to get you in the door.

      PS:
I like your cat graphic. She looks like she just had an LD of a very large bulldog!
