      Doh...I can't get a lucid dream!

Over five days, I have remembered three of them, the one I got today was that I was walking through some countryside leading some blind girl in a skirt to some place. We were going through some kind of path in the forest with some people around and I went too far ahead of her so I had to go back and grab her hand. Then we reached this building and then I asked her if she could dream in color. She said no and then I woke up. After I woke up, I stayed in bed and tried to remember what I was dreaming about, after I finished recalling I felt like slapping myself a lot of times. Why? Because the thing about dreaming in color is what I had read on this site!

If I had only remembered lucid dreaming I could have performed a RC...doh...will I ever get a lucid dream? When I go to sleep I don't bother with all those methods, I just talk to by subconsious and say we are going to remember our dreams and have a lucid one..then drift off to sleep. If I concentrate too hard on lucid dreams, my heart rate increases and I start sweating and i can jolts in my body and I give up.

seekers right. you're going to have to wait for more than 5 days. You do know that it sometimes takes people a month to get one right? For my first time it took about a week or two. so hang in there

I'd qualify that as a method . Anyway try not to get to excited then when thinking about lucid dreams. I dont really understand why you would get excited so much as to induce sweating

yea, dont get excited... i never do, dont know why thats hard.... and if you blink while in a dream you might wake up, if that happens, just close your eyes again, and re-enter the dream, dont move or anything if you are questioning your surroundings alot, then your should be up for a MILD any day

Well for most of the time my room is really hot for no apparent reason, even if the ac is on.

yeah, I don't have one yet either. I'm a loser. I keep a journal every night for 2 months. I think the trick here is to do dream check in your everyday life and when it becomes a habit, you do it in your dream.
It didn't work for me yet though.

I joined in July, had 2 LDs a week apart in August and haven't had one since. Kind of frustrated, too, but we must perservere. I know I'll get it eventually.

I havent had one since... beginning of may I guess.
I'm not too worried. Just keep trying! Dont give up, see it as a way to improve yourself! Be determined, and when you do have one, you'll be overflowing with confidence!

I'm new to the forum but not to LDs...my main suggestion is to make sure you're getting enough sleep. In fact, to sleep just a bit more than normal is the best way to try to invoke one. I find there's a point where I could roll over and go back to sleep if I want to, or I could get up and feel fine. If you roll over and go back to sleep, there's a good chance it will be a lucid dream. At the very least, those dreams are much easier to remember. That's when most of my LDs seem to happen, at any rate.
