More common when your younger?

Is it more common to have lucid dreams when your younger? Because i still to this day remember always having false awakening lucid dreams when i was about 5-6.

I think so. Most people have them when young... I think it has something to do with our sense of logic... But I'm not sure. Oh, and Welcome! By the way.

Welcome to DV! Children have more REM sleep which is when lucid dreams are more likely to occur.

I'm almost sure that naturally, without trying, when you are younger you lucid dream more often. I believe that when you are young, you have longer REM periods, which possibly could increase the chance of lucidity seeing as you are dreaming longer, though don't take my word for it. I know that as a kid I'd get lucid often during nightmares; since younger kids often have nightmares this could also be another cause. Anyway, welcome to our forum. I've had at least several lucid dreams as a child, but now have to consciously induce a lucid dream in order to have one. So it's definitely true for me.
