      Unhappy Lucid Help

I can't do it! I try and I try, and I'm BEYOND interested in being able to do this, but I can't do it.

I've tried the methods- thinking "I'm going to have a lucid dream tonight", I've tried to think about what I want to dream about before I fall asleep, and whenever I have any type of dream, I can't control it. I can never make myself realize I'm dreaming, and I can never spin around in a circle and make it my own dream... I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I'm distressed by it.

Can anyone help me? I'm so irritated.

I LOVE psychological things- just love it. ^^ But this baffles me! I want to be able to so badly do it, to understand how it works, why we can do it, to accomplish doing it, and eventually participate in experiencing those dream circle type of ordeals where people can meet up in a dream and experience the same ones together.

But I have to get this down first, and it eludes me every night. It would be so nice if you left me a comment, please?

Hi Well I'm sorry that your having some trouble. The only thing I can think of is what I do when its not working for me. Sometimes I get so into it, that it overwhelms me and the way im thinking about LDing. Take a break for a few weeks, and then come back at it with a fresh perspective and there's something that you probably missed, or something will pop up in your dreams during your mini break. Its worked for me many times

I don't know much when it comes to dreaming but I can tell you how I got my first lucid dream. When I got mine I didn't think about it much. It just happened. Maybe you should take a break like"Barbizzle" says, it may help.

      Everythings worth trying.

When you sleep, try to set an alarm clock or w/e and have it wake you up at around 4:00 in the morning or so. Then go to the bathroom, splash water on your face, dry your face off with a towel, and go back to sleep. Try to stay conscious saying,"I am going to lucid dream." or "I am going to astral project." (help me out too. I don't know the difference between astral projection and lucid dreaming). sooner or later, you may be lucid dreaming. Also, when you go back to sleep, try spinning around, looking at whats around your room. Then picture yourself standing in a corner while your sleeping CONSCIOUSLY! <TRY IT TYRANNOSAURUS ALLAN! it'z got doo dooz!>

Yeah i was SUPAR interested in it for like a week or two, and then the day i stopped thinking or caring about it really, i had my first one (last night ) So just try to be a little less interested in it, and it will happen.

      Gurd luck!

What else have you been doing? How good is your recall? Are you keeping a dream journal? Have you identified dream signs? Do you state check? What do you do when you reality check? How often do you do it? Why? How much sleep do you get a night?
