If you're not keeping a dream journal, start one. Think about having a lucid dream before you go to bed each night. Don't force it, just think "I'll have a lucid dream tonight" before you go to sleep. Write down your dreams in the morning so you don't forget them. It will happen. It will take time, but it will happen. Be patient, and enjoy the strangeness of your subconcious. You'll find the more dreams you remember, the more you will be able to relate them to your waking life - the more they will mean to you - the more you'll learn about yourself. And then one night you'll realize it's a dream - before you wake up!
