      Autosuggestion didn't work last night.

      How annoying.

      Thumbs up

      Hi Bing,

the wikibook about lucid dreaming has some information about autosuggestion: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Lucid_D...Autosuggestion

Don't be discouraged. Realize that failure is necessary for success!
You might fail to become lucid for the first 3 days, 3 weeks or 3 months of your training. However, if you persist to use proven techniques, and think and read about dreaming, success is guaranteed. Just don't give up.
      All the best!

To be honest I'm not aiming for lucid dreaming right now, I understand that will take a lot of practice. All I want to be able to do right now is recall dreams, and like you said Barb, at least 3 per night.

Autosuggestion often takes time. Some lucky people see results immediatly, while others have to keep up the autosuggestion for a month or more before they get results. Don't give up!

You'll get there, it doesn't always work, but it's a good aid.

Get used to it failing. It's regarded as completely unreliable.

I, too, am having a lot of disappointment with auto-suggestion. Im just not going to give up until I get it. You shouldn't either!

While lucid dreaming occurs in a dream world it is no different from any other skill. As we all are humans, we will fail occasionally. You are after all playing with your subconcious mind so things aren't that simple and reliable . This stings me bad too because I am a bit perfectionist

but because we are humans we can learn and become better

Keep on going! Although reward lies in the end I find the journey to the reward sometimes much more lucrative
Jujutsu is the gentle art. It's the art where a small man is going to prove to you, no matter how strong you are, no matter how mad you get, that you're going to have to accept defeat. That's what jujutsu is.
