      Don't poke me too hard.

      Hi there,

I searched for a dreaming forum on google and it brought me here, so I signed up cos it seems like an interesting place.

I have been lucid dreaming for a few years, and I love it, although I don't get much control, and I can't control when it happens. I often find I enter a lucid state when I'm really tired, it's really late, and I've had caffeine. Maybe that's just coincidence?

Unfortunately I awake soon after entering a lucid state most of the time. I remember when I first started entering lucid dreams, I didn't/couldn't wake up, and they scared me, but I soon learned that visualising myself lying down and then in bed would make it realy easy to wake up.

It's usually when I try and take control I wake up, but I still enjoy just going along with the flow.

I often find my lucid dreams take me on a long and random journey and I awake feeling fully refreshed, only to find I've only been asleep 20-30 mins.
I soon feel tired afterwards though.

I have managed to fly a few times in my lucid dreams, but never fully in control, for example I'll be in the foetal position and cannot stretch out, but can still control the direction and speed. The best flying experience I've had was just now, because I was full stretched out but I couldn't move my head.

I watched a movie a few months back (can't remember the title off hand, but it had one of my fave actors in it, Simon Pegg) but it said when you enter a lucid dream to look at your hands and look in the mirror. I managed to look at my hands during a lucid dream last week or the week before, and it got the most awesome tingley feeling throughout my whole body (it wasn't an orgasm lol it felt much better )

Anyways I hope to learn lots from you guys, and any comments/feedback on this post would be most helpful, so I know I'm not the only one with these experiences.

Also sorry for the long post, hope there's not too many tldr's
