      Hello everyone! :D

I read about LDs years ago in a magazine and I've been trying (not too seriously though) since then.

But I have a question: a long time ago I had a weird dream, I can't remember exactly but I was in a park or something like that and some people wanted to kidnap me. The whole dream was a normal dream, but there were like a few seconds when I remember thinking clearly (almost like in real life) what to do with my cellphone before they kidnapped me ( and after that I hid it in a shoe). Could that have been a very short lucid moment in the dream or did I only think it was?

      to DV!

I'm not sure what they actually classify these as, you mind still has some logic when you're in a dream, so thinking during them isn't impossible.

I "think" in my dreams occasionally, but I don't think it was a lucid...

      Good luck, and have fun.
      Bollocks.

      ^Thanks.
Oh, by the way, I started a dream journal after I joined, in the first night I remembered 4 dreams, in the second 2 dreams and in the last two nights just one/night.
My phone rings, I turn it off, try to remember and when I get up to take the paper from under my pillow I just forget 50% of the dream. I read somewhere that you're not supposed to move after you wake up and to try to remember, but i don't know how to do that: after I hear the ringing I fall asleep in seconds if I don't move, and if I move I forget a lot. Does anybody know what I should do about it?
And how many dreams do you guys (who have LDs) remember/night?

I have the same problem. If I just lie there trying to recall or thinking about my dream, I fall back asleep. I'd say if you need to move in order to not fall asleep, then move, but don't let yourself start thinking about reality; just concentrate on trying to remember what you dreamed. I always move when I wake up, but as long as I keep trying to remember what I dreamt about, it will usually come to me. It can take a several minutes sometimes though.

I can usually remember about 4 or more dreams per night if I actually try. Getting up in the middle of the night (which I do naturally) is key though. If I don't wake up till the morning then I'll usually just remember my most recent dream. It has a whole lot to do with how much effort I put into it though. If I half-ass it there's a good chance I'll just remember one or none at all (like last night). But, if I really commit myself some night to dreaming/lucid dreaming then I can remember tons of dreams. Once I recalled 10 in one night and had 3 lucids that night.

I wouldn't say that was lucidity. Lucidity is when you realize dimly or fully that you are dreaming...

Basically what Delphinus said: When you "Think" in your dreams, you are just doing some reasoning with some objects in your dream. For Example: Hmm, maybe I could get over this building if I flew..." or "Wait, maybe I should buy that huge cat over there." in your dreams is perfectly normal in your dreams.

Still, you might be closer than you think to lucid dreaming!
