i had my first lucid dream!

yeah i had my first ever lucid dream last night and it was great but only one problem. as soon as i became lucid instead of thinking of stuff i wanted to happen i thought of stuff that i didnt want to happen for example i thought "ok im lucid i dont want a nightmare so dont think of sharks" lol and all of a sudden i was in an ocean! and that happened a few times through out the night. lol any tips? and i had a good way of going lucid. i had a character come up to me and tell me theres someone in that room that was going to kill me. and i told them "i bet you ill walk into this room and itll be empty" and as soon as i walked in everything was white and i could think of stuff to do lol was great.

i've got a gr8 idea for ure little shark issue: DON'T THINK OF SHARKS! Oh yeah and thatt's a nice technique u have there! Happy Dreaming!

Heh congrats with your first LD! keep on focusing on what you want, not on what you dont want

hmmm.... i never had this problem.... i bets its hard to try not to think about sharks so you say don't think about sharks so you think of sharks ok that sounded a little confusing...

Try thinking of what you want to do before you go to sleep. That way when you become lucid you know immediately what you want to do and don't spend any time possibly thinking of things that you don't want to do. Just my opinion. Congrats on the LD! -Amé
