Hey. that would be a bit too frequent. I would suggest waking up every other hour. You need to make sure your REM cycles are kicking in and getting deeper each time. Waking up every hour, will leave you feeling unrested. |

I am thinking of having my alarm clock wake me up every hour after the first three hours of sleep, maybe even more frequently. Every time it wakes up me up I will attempt a WILD. This way I can practice tons of times each night and excel at mastering the ability. |

I think it depends on what you're after. If you want to wake up after a dream so you can record it and give yourself affirmations for the next dream, then synching with the 90-min REM cycle would probably work best. OTOH, there is a Toltec dreaming ritual called a mitote where you are woken up every hour, walk around an altar, then go back to bed. Waking that often does indeed disturb your rest, but it also puts you into an ozone where the line between waking and dreaming gets pretty fuzzy. |
