Dream Spinning happens automatically for me?

Hi, I'm VERY new to lucid dreaming. In fact the only reason I found this board, is that several times a year, while I'm dreaming, my body begins to spin - mostly top to bottom (as if I were "topspin" on a tennis ball), and it's a very gentle spin.

Also, the spinning appears to be controlled or directed from something "other" than me. It's not me who controls the spinning, although I probably could if I tried. It's pleasurable and not the least bit dizzying.

I have also had the sensation where I'm not spinning, but the same "force" is pulling me around physically in a dream - moving me from room to room at a high speed, negating rules of physics and such.

This happens only a few times a year, and each time the dreams are incredibly vivid - I'm not sure they're true lucid dreams, as I don't feel I have much more control over the content, but they are certainly more vivid in color and physical sensation.

I did a Google search for "spinning in dreams" and found that it's discussed as a conscious technique for keeping a lucid dream going.

Anyone ever had a similar experience where the spinning or being physically moved around in dreams seems to happening from another source (other than their own will)?

Just wondering - thanks. I'm sure this sounds crazy.

      Sick.

I used spinning 2 or more times in a lucid dream. I was reading a book called Lucid Dreams in 30 Days and it discussed the spinning method. If I remember correctly, spinning can be used to change the 'scenery' or environment. In my dream, I actually almost had total recall of the book. I have some type PI-ADD and sometimes I won't retain things until I read them over and over, but in the dream I pretty much remembered anything I read in that book.

I was in the woods on a trail going uphill. I am always running from something in my dream. (side-vent: I'm sick and tired of running from things in life as well. I have issues with that and relationships too. I fear being abandoned and I feel the need to 'flight' or run away. ugh.) I do like being chased after though.

Anyways... I was in the woods on a trail going uphill. I was running from something and I didn't exactly know who or what it was. I was just running away from whatever it was. I jumped off the hill and onto some trees below. I was jumping and swinging from tree to tree like a damned monkey. haha. I got out of the woods and into some residential neighborhood and that's when I had total recall. I said, "this is kinda boring. There's no one in sight." I spun around, faster and faster. I spun until my surroundings blurred and then I spun some more. I slowed down my spinning and then why the blurs came into proportion I found myself somewhere else. I didn't think of a destination I wanted to be in, so a random memory choice was made. I happened to be standing in a ballpark.

That's all I can recall... Hope I contributed in some positive manner
