      Talking Hello!

I'm new here and wanted to say hi

I don't know why the subject came up at work today but I told my co-workers about how I used to lucid dream. It was soooooo awesome being able to do whatever I wanted in my dreams. This was many years ago that I used to do this. Before I knew about lucid dreams I used to tell myself throughout the day to remember my dreams. I then read an Omni Magazine article (I just dated myself if anyone remembers that magazine) about lucid dreams and techniques to do so. It was amazing to me how so much research was done and how many methods there were. I was especially amazed how when you feel yourself waking up you can "spin" in your dream and go back into a deeper sleep. How in the hell did someone figure that one out?
Any way..... I think I'm going to start doing it again. I had a dream within a dream the other night and started flying because I knew I could. I forgot how awesome that feeling is. Soooooooo I hope that I don't get too lazy to do it and have fun with it. It will be nice to hear about everyone's experiences and techniques.

That's cool that you have known about lding for a while.
I hope the tutorials here can help you out with having more lucids.

Hey, welcome to DV Man, I bet you're glad you picked up that article! And trust me, you'll be glad that you're interested again and now on DV!
I did some searching about Omni, and found that the article that you'd read was written by none-other than Dr. Stephen LaBerge (of course, dude's everywhere!) He's the one who is pretty famous for doing a lot of research on lucid dreaming. If you check out the book Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, it's probably going to have a lot of the same stuff written in it

      For nostalgia's sake:

Apparently there was also one on the NovaDreamer.
