(If introduce means tell about yourself then let me do a brief review: I am 17 years old, I am currently a Senior in high school, I heard about lucid dreaming on the Web and from word of mouth. I have several hobbies, but my biggest is yarnwork and now my second is sleeping. Ha, ha.)

Hi everyone! I joined dreamviews probably less than a week ago, and I like just about everything that I've seen so far. The first time I heard about lucid dreaming was when I was trying to get into Astral Projection. I read a brief article that said you could astral project through lucid dreaming. I didn't give much thought to it then because that wasn't my focus. (I am no longer attempting astral projection as I feel it isn't for me.)

Two weeks ago today I had the strangest dream. In my dream I was trying to astral project and I could feel my body vibrate and parts of me felt floaty. I saw strange purple lights with white electricity running through it, kind of like those space blobs in movies that transport people to other universes. Anyway (before I get too long winded) I was in the lunchroom at my school and I was just having the greatest day, and I thought it was too good to be true and I asked myself, 'am I dreaming?' then I responded to myself and said 'jump and find out', I then proceeded to jump and my world disappeared and I was then laying in bed looking at myself up on the ceiling. All of it was very strange, and I think it was a dream, but I really don't know, because everything I saw and felt, felt real. That was technically my first lucid dream, and I wasn't even attempting to have one.

It came to my attention today, that my "first" lucid dream was when I was reading my dream journal in my dream about a dream that I had just had but not yet recorded (like I was reading future events) and what I was reading made me so angry I was about to boil over. I told myself 'calm down, this is just a dream'. It came to my attention that if I said this I was lucid. However the "transmission" ends there, I don't recall what happened after that, I assume I woke up.

I know this is a long post, please forgive me all. When I type or write I can go on and on and on, trust me. : ) Anyways, I'm really interested in lucid dreaming and my teacher does it frequently so he's constantly asking me if I'm making any progress. I bought a few books on lucid dreaming, they should arrive in a few days. I thank you all for letting me share what's going on with me.

Get out there and have some dreams!

Bye everyone.
