When dreaming I can be aware that I'm dreaming.. but how can I take control of the dream? For example when i was younger (about 8 or 9) I was having a nightmare and I became aware I was dreaming.. but I couldn't do anything about it - I was shouting at myself to wake up but I couldn't and it was terrifying!! Last summer my brother told me about lucid dreaming and he told me how to do it, and i thought hey thats what happened when i was younger, so a couple of nights later (when i'd got the hang of it) I became aware i was dreaming but again i couldnt control what was happening, and a few mins later (or what felt like a few mins anyway) i was woken up by my little sis cause it was morning. so, anyone got any tips on how to control the actual dream?? thanks |

Normally, people do a few reality checks and stabilizing actions to gain some control. |

Bollocks.
The most practical advice I can give you is this: Your dreams are all in your head. The other people and objects in your dream world are just as much YOU as your dream body. There is no difference. You ARE everything. If you can control how you are moving around, just keep reminding yourself that you are in a dream, that you ARE a dream. Then it is so much easier to control what is already you. |
