      im new here

hey, i just wanted to introduce myself to the board, anyways im having a hard time with getting lucid again, ive had about 10 lucid dreams over the years and the harder i try the harder it gets, i only get them when i dont practice or least expect it, i was also intrested in how to communicate or get into other peoples dreams, i hope this doesnt sound too wacked, when i am lucid it doesnt last long because i get scared, but i know i shouldnt because its only a dream, ive tried different techniques that dont seem to work, even the ones mentioned on here, ive also tried to find my sleeping body when i was lucid but couldnt which could have been an out of body experience?? has this happened to anyone? well i would like to communicate with people here so if you can reply,PM, OR EMAIL me especially if your in the portland oregon area

sleepforever, Welcome to the site! Glad to see a fellow Oregonian around here. I'm from Pendleton (and currently in MT) so not really near you, but still.

Anyway, it sounds like oftentimes you are trying too hard. So have you tried just ignoring the idea of LDing for a week or so to give your mind a break? If not, try it and then try iduction techniques again. I know it can be frustrating, but just don't get too stressed out over it. Personally, I find it hard to even go to sleep unless I "surrender" and not think about anything, even LDing. Just think of your goal and work from there.

Anyway, just keep trying techniques that you find around here. I'm sure there's one you haven't tired. Do you keep a journal? Looking for dreamsigns is a common platform to work off of. Also, after you've been here for 2 weeks you can look for someone to adopt you. Someone who's an experienced LDer who has more advice than I do. (I specialize more in theory and encouragement )

I'm glad to see you here and I wish you sudden success! PM me or the mods or DGs (Dream Guides) if you have questions.Sweet Lucid Dreams!

      Howdy!
well now i think your getting a lil ahead of yourself here.
Are you trying one method, then moving onto another when it doesnt work? thats no good, you need to try one method (i highly reccomend MILD, newbie friendly) and stick with it for about a week or two.

I think you should concentrate on trying to lucid dream effectively before trying to find your body, or attempting a shared dream.
Both of those are things that should be taken lightly, though. I personally do not believe in astrally projecting to find your body, and neither do i believe in shared dreaming although it is possible. Take one step at a time!

You may find that you get more LDs when you are not trying, but that is only temporary. Its like learning to cook, you need to practise, but as you get better it will get easier and the quality of what youmake will be substantially better. Just keep trying and you will be able to have lucid dreams at will soon enough, instead of random rare intervals.

Any other questions, feel free to PM me or post here and ill answer asap.
