      Amazing and Horrifying first night!

Amazing... I'm writing this after waking up violently after 2 hours of sleep on my first night aware of these phenomenons.

What got me into this was that i saw the movie "Waking life", and a few days after that I had a dream where i remember telling myself "Oh my god... i'm in a dream... i'm dreaming i'm dreaming", but i was so shocked that i woke myself up.... or now i realize i might have changed the dream to a scenery where i was in my bed.

Last night (2 hours ago) i was somehow reminded of this dream so i was curios to look up lucid dreaming. I looked up the methods and the signs. Previously, I have had out of body experiences, floating, and "exploding head syndrome" while dreaming, so i was pleasantly surprised others have also had this experience before. So, I go to sleep expecting a little bit of dreaming.

When i actually fell asleep, i think i had at least 10 different dreams, one of which i was able to realize that i was dreaming, but i lost it because i thought about it so much.

Also, in the beginning i remember i read that you would see a flash of light as you started going into your WILD or MILD phase, as i saw it i kinda panicked and started telling myself i'm in a dream, which threw me off, but i was able to experience a few seconds of euphoria. Now that i think of it, i think what it did was put my guards down, which made me actually loose control and fall asleep and spiral into my many dreams. One of the dreams was so intense that I had to wake myself up by using the method where you close and open your eyes violently. After which i spent a few minutes in bed going over what had just happened. I wrote what i could remember in Notepad on my computer.

Here is a dream i remember....

"I think i realized i was in a dream in this one. As soon as this happened i attempted to fly away from my bed by really concentrating on it. I have done this many times without actually realizing it in my dreams before where I would just think about flying and i would lift off the ground. What hapened was that i closed my eyes and it felt like i went through the wall which my bed is against. At first I heard people talking, a girls voice and a sense of euphoria cause i was able to do what i had just done, but then shortly i felt like as if i was going through a train tunnel with extremely load screeching noises, a few seconds later the voices came back, and then it suddenly went back to the noise. I tried to wake myself up, but it seemed like i would "wake up" (either really or in my dream) in my bed with one of my legs raised up involuntarily, i believe one of my hands was also lying crooked."

      And another.....

"The dream started kind of like a movie, black and white and then quckly morphed into reality. It seemed like i was in the 70's. I was driving up a hill in a very large parking lot with the ocean on the right side and 2 girls shaking their asses. there were guys chanting slut, whore, 'you do it for the reaction' etc to the girl. I never actually saw any guys other than the 2 girls that were dressed in booty shorts. I did see what i believe were a few anonymous girls(didn't see their faces) which were dressed in pants and white shirts. After passing the girls, As i got closer to the end of the parking lot, the waves in the ocean started crashing... as i turned left at the end of the parking lot, I suddenly appeared in the water... i was pretty deep into the surf zone. I started paddling parallel to the waves, after a few strokes I swimming towards the shore, which i never saw, but i knew had to be there because the waves were crashing in that direction. The waves were pretty big, probably 5-8 feet. One or two waves passed until a big one drew me under the water. I still had my two sandles in my hands by this time, and i believe i also had two sandles on my foot, which i was trying to hold in between my toes. What seemed like an eternity passed while i was still underwater, after a bit i lost one of my sandles, but i still didn't try to surface, assuming that i would surface eventually. After another eternity i got worried and attempted to actually swim up out of the water. I dropped my sandles and started to swim up from under the water.... it never seemed like i was short of breath, i actually exhaled but i never felt like i was suffocating. After a bit of trying i remember one of my feet hit the ground, immediately my soul separated from my body and my body sank into the depths while i watched it. At this point i snapped out of that dream out of shock."

I wrote the little dream journal quickly after waking up and then edited it a bit after i was fully awake to make it a bit more readable. I think i had this shocking experience because I went to sleep with a little bit of fear because previously i've had pretty regular experiences with the "exploding head syndrome" so it tainted my dreams.
