Hello! My name is Sebastian... "Thunder" Sebastian

Hello to everyone! I came here from a distant land... to salute you!

Ok, now talking a bit more serious, I'd like at first to introduce myself! As title says my name is Sebastian aka "Thunder" aka "ThunderSS" (nothing related with the old nazis) and I'm happy to see such a comunity, and more then that to be part of it from now on!

I was a "day dreamer" all my life and when I found out about this tehnique I was so excited and I said "Why not?". So I decided to give it a try immediately. Well not a succesfuly one, but at least I tried. I've read some tutorials from this site and I followed some of them but I encountered some problems.

First I started to improve my dream recall ability (I'm doing it for 2 days now, a pretty short time, I know), and if I haven't got to much luck first night (very few informations about my dreams in the morning, but from 3 different ones - I think )but I managed to have a full dream recall this morning, with details and even feelings (only one dream though). I'll keep writting in my dream journal from now on and I hope I will be able to remember more then one dream with a better quality. Anyway, when I remember them I do it in parts, with interruptions. That can't be right and I don't know how to fix it. I'd like to remember the whole dream not just parts from it.

Anyway, I decided to learn the WILD method and encountered a serious problem here too...I keep falling asleep before anything happens. I've been relaxed for about 45 mins without even moving a muscle but I didn't felt that my body is relaxing or anything. And, eventually I'm falling aslep. I hope I'm just not doing something wrong.

Well, I'll keep updating with my evolution and I hope I'll be able soon enough to start a dream journal online . I'm also open to any suggestions or questions.
      Sweet dreams !
PS: Since English isn't my first language if you see any mistakes feel free to highlight them for me!

      Hello Sebastian

Your Dream Recall will improve very quickly, so dont worry about that.
First thing you should do after awakening from sleep is remembering your dream. Don't wait until you got up or you're dressed, the first thought should be "What was i dreaming". Concentrate on the last feelings you had.

I am just a beginner myself but i think it is easier to start with DILDs istead of WILDs but the more expirienced members should know more about that.

Hey Sebastian, and welcome to DV and the world of lucid dreaming

It sounds like you are on the right track with your dream recall. Just keep recording them and make sure that when you wake up in the middle of the night you write them down! The longer you keep at it, generally the better you will be able to recall them. To this day, except for WILDs, I can never remember the beginning of a dream. But that latter end of the dream should stick with you if you give it some time

WILDs can be pretty difficult, I've still not mastered it though I've had a bit of success with a type of WILD called a DEILD. Have you ever had SP (finding yourself completely paralyzed)? If you have, and you get it relatively frequently, WILDing should be easier. If you don't, then for those new to LDing I highly recommend the DILD method before they attempt WILDs. Still, sounds like you are doing your reading which means you're off to a great start. Let me know if you've got any questions

(oh, ps- your English sounds great )

Thank you! Unfortunately I never experienced a SP while I was conscious (or I can't remember). I also read around here that WILD is a hard tehnique but I still wish to try it (I always wanted to do the impossible). However I'll try starting with DILD method and maybe attempting from time to time WILD too.

I always try to remember my dreams everytime I wake up. This is why I am sleeping with a small notebook near my bad so I can write my thoughts as soon as I wake up, even if is during the night (I can easily write in it on dark even with my eyes closed).

      ---

I have another question; I see this just at the top of the site:
It's Never Too Early for RUM(3): xxx, xxx, xxx Lucid Dreaming(2): xxx, xxx

What does it represent because I can't figure it out!

That's the chatroom, telling you the names of the rooms and who is in them. If you look up on the top right corner of your page, it will say "Welcome Thunder", right under that on the right will be a button saying 'chat'
