      Oh, Hey.

      Yes, hello.

On the Internet I'm known as Sypher (AP). I'm a flash animator, who creates sprite movies. (Not one of the poor ones, mind you.) For the past few months I've taken interest in learning how to remember and control my dreams. Sadly, I haven't really progressed very much. Since I'm still trying to recall my dreams. (Though after lurking, I found out I wasn't doing everything I was supposed to.) Anyway, I'm here now and I plan to become better at this within time.

To be quite honest, ever since I first heard about lucid dreaming... I became extremely interested in it. Considering how boring my life can be sometimes, finding out that you can take control of a world with endless possibilities can be exiting.

      Now, I have some questions.

      1. As a flash animator, I was wondering if there could be benefits from being able to have lucid dreams? Like for example; if I needed any ideas for a scene I'm working on, could I simply place myself within the scene I was creating and just allow things to happen? And are there possibly any other benefits in relation to this?

      2. I've heard that using a sleeping mask can help with dream recall, is this true?

And that's about it. I probably won't be the most active member here, but I'll most likely be checking up here at least once a day.

Yes, if you are working on a certain animation, you could make the scene, make the characters, and either act out what you want to happen, or let them go and see what happens.

After a bit of practice, of course.

Apparently, heavier darkness has better dreams. I've never experienced this, so I cannot say in either direction.

      Good luck, and happy lucids.
      Bollocks.

I make sprite movies. Basically just an animation that uses pixel sprites. Usually from video games.

I suppose to give you an idea, I'll just show a snapshot from something I'm working on.

I'll probably show off my finished projects in an other topic.

And yes, I'm keeping a dream journal, I have a computer right next to where I sleep. I simply open up notepad and turn my computer in standby mode, before I go to sleep. So that when I wake up the next day I can just move the mouse and write down my experiences. (As much as I can remember, anyway.)

      Check out artist's corner.

If there isn't one, I suggest you make one. It could be interesting.
