It is only a dream sign if it is reoccuring, but it was a lucid dream. It is common to wake up from the excitement your first lucid dream; you eventally build up an immunity. |

So I don't know if I would consider this lucid but I dreamed I was just sitting down, and then I though wow this could never be a dream but I decide to reality check anyway. I look down at my hand for a second and at first glance something seems off. Then I look down again and I notice my hand is half covereed in pen like someone scribbled all over it. Then I think "huh thats odd... UNLESS THIS IS A DREAM" It felt as though somebody took a record player and screeched it to a stop. I woke up immediately after this. Would this be considered a dream sign? And does anybody else have similar effects with the hand reality check where theres an odd design or scribble on the hand as opposed to an irregular number of fingers. |

Hey thanks man I didn't feel excited though, more over shocked, I suppose shock can wake you up as well. |

I had a similar thing happen to me once, my hand was colored green. But instead of me logically being like "Hey, wtf? why is my hand green" It was more like "oh yeah! its st. pattys day." |

Lol yup that was my first reaction in a way, oh okay I was scribbling on my hand but I rationalized and realized I never did that |

Haha, yea. Excitement, shock, fear, overjoy, it can all wake you up. The point being it happens to most of us our first times, and you need to do it alot to get into the swing of it and be able to stay lucid. |
