      Good morning!

Hi everyone, i'm still a little tired, but i thought i'd take this time to make a short presentation

i'm 16 years old and i come from sweden, where it's dark 24/7 at this time of year..
i'm really interested in Lucid Dreaming and i've had 2 of them, i actually had the last one this morning..
although i didn't have all the control that i whished for, i'm coming there

i have a short question; this thing about good dream recall, why is it so necesary?
of course it's good for 1 obvious reason: you don't wanna forget any Lucid Dreams you have, but other than that?

      Hey there ronso
Wats it like in Sweden when it's dark all the time? Must be kinda freaky but i suppose u get use to it.
Congrats on those two lucid dreams
Ure well on you're way to lucid dreaming have
Don't worry about the control problem, i suill have that problem and it's really annoying but i suppose it will snap eventually
In regards to you're question i don't really know any other reasons why dream recall is good for lucid dreaming, apart from wanting to remember it of course.
Maybe the answer will come soon...
      Good Luck

      hi Haz2004!
i looked out the window and noticed that it's still bright, bummer
it's much better when the real winter comes, then it's dark in the morning when you go to school, it's dark when you go home from school and it's dark when you go to bed

Yeah, i hope the control problem will disappear sometime soon, guess i have to practise more..
I could do whatever i wanted in the dream, it's just that i thought the 'people' were real people.
hehehe, it met 2 of my friends in the dream and i wanted to show them how great Lucid Dreaming is, so i told them "you're dreaming, this is just a dream!" they didn't believe me..
and after awhile, i started to lose the ability to fly, kinda sad, i remember trying to fly over and over again, but it didn't work..
well i'm happy anyway, it was a great experience

      Hey ronso - welcome

The dream recall is also used to understand your normal dreams, and be able to form good dream signs from them
As well as that, it keeps your mind focussed on your dreams and lucid dreams

ronso mate how are ya, liking Dreamviews so far??

As Placebo said dream recall is important, although make sure to have an 'awareness; of your surroundings as well. Dream recall is good, and so is being aware as well, it's programming your mind to think about reality and the dreamworld.

      good luck ey!!
      n00bs i love you

Hey ronso! i love fianl fantasy games

So you live in the arctic circle? man id always wanted to see what its like there, seems so cool!

Dream recall is important to accustom your brain to the fact that you want dreams to be remembered, not as you were probably brought up with hearing that they are something to be ignored because they are meaningless. You have spent all your life thinking they mean nothing and now you want to find out about em, just accustom your subconciouss to that.

If youve already had 2 lucid dreams you should have no problem in inducing more, although it may take about a month at the most to induce your first one.

Any more questions? just PM them to me or post them here and we'll all do our best to answer them!

and White Shadow, i promise to reply on your thread

i think i get how important it is to recall your dreams.. my friend didn't think it was too important, and i kinda agreed.. i mean, when you're having a Lucid Dream, you CAN'T forget it
but as i said, i get it now, thanks for all the replies

Heh... I have the same problem, by and large.
I honestly have no idea why people like us are ignored more than others
      Maybe our avatars suck?

      yes i blame the avatars!

go do a good, long google search find a photo and get a illegally acquired adobe photoshop, crack it and spruce the picture up a bit, maybe add some text. then resize it and make sure the file size is lower than 20KB, then upload it to DV and you will be having posts in no time!

or you could ask somewone in the art team, either ways good!

Just cos we don't get some poncy arty-farty image to put as a fake facade! The fact that Placebo and I choose to use pictures of ourselves as our avatars simply means we are less insecure about ourselves!

At the end of the day this isn't a popularity contest, there have been so many new members trying to hug the limelight lately, who knows what's happening
