      2nd lucid

Okay so this morning I had my 2nd lucid(3rd if you include my attempted rc afterward I woke up). Naturally I was very happy because during this one I neither woke up before or after my reality check. However, I had always figured once I became lucid in a dream, there would be a sensation of vividness flowing through the dream. Instead the dream remained the same, in fact when I finally woke up and remembered the dream the part with the most missing pieces was the part in which I was lucid, like I was looking back at a bunch of fragments! This is so frustrating! Can anybody give me tips on how to make my dreams more vivid and complete?

A dream journal will make dreams more vivid over time. Write down every detail you can when you wake up in the morning.

You can also make your lucids more vivid and stable this way.
      Bollocks.

Thanks for the reply. I have found my lattest entries to be quick scribbles of dreams, but if writing more details helps I'll try that out. As for what I read on the other thread, in this particular lucid, I don't think I even stopped to think, I just sorta ran and started doing things, rather than rubbing my hands together, and formulating a plan. Would auto-suggestion work like saying "When I get lucid in a dream I will make the dream more stable by rubbing my hands together."

      Sounds like a good plan.

And yes, autosuggestion will only help.

Look around more, feel things, smell things. Be more aware of your dream world and you should be able to remember it better.

I am a bit confused here!

Vivid dreams to me are ones that are clear and memorable and feel real after you wake, what happens happens,i have no control but it feels very real.

My Lucid dreams are similar to vivid but I know that i am dreaming so act on that dream and have a certain amount of control over the dream, especially how it starts, I get somehow knocked out of my LD prematurely if I cant stay in.

With a vivid I just wake and am quite content.

With a lucid it is never finished because I just come rushing back in to myself even if I have forced myself to stay in more than once?

If I have control then its not sketchy I can even remember the points at which it nearly stops and i make myself giddy to stay in control and keep dreaming!

If you control LD,s Then you should be able to remember?

      Help I am confused!

If you want a really clear a vivid lucid dream don't start trying to fly or do silly things, you need to focus on the conciousness that you have gained look around really carefully, then"ka-blam" everything will sharpen up.. You can try the flying etc once your have mastered the images and dreamscapes!

P.S, thats the mistake I made in my 1st really lucid dream.. i was loving it and decided to fly.. this made me lose concentration on the dreamscape and more on trying to fly, I then lost conciousness and it faded into a normal dream awaking shortly after.

Same here! My folks were killed in the dream i first came lucid. As soon as realized I was in a dream the first thing i wanted to do was save my family. I tried to imagine them behind a door all smiling with a pizza, but as soon as i tried i was kicked out of the dream. You need to set up a foundation for your dream before you do anything else or else you may be prematurly kicked out.
