Can you meet someone in your dreams?

Last night I had a dream of me and an ex boyfriend. I believe we are both very much in love and still very much care about each other, but because of circumstances, we can't be together at this time. We haven't talked to each other in a little over a month. The dream started off with me walking in grassy field. I see another person in the distance walking toward me. As he gets closer I realize it is my ex bf. He comes up to me and smiles. He says "I missed you" and I say "I missed you too". We walk and talk about our days and catch up like no time has passed. We laugh and joke around. Then all of the sudden he says "I have to go" and he embraces me, kisses me on the lips and then on the forehead. He pulls back, looks into my eyes and says "Babers, don't miss me too much, I'll see you soon." and I say "No, please don't go, not yet" and he says "I have to, its time for me to wake up" I jump on him, wrap my arms and legs around him and beg him not to leave. He starts to walk back toward where he came from, still holding me. He stops and says, "you have to go back the other way, where you came from, you can't go with me." I realize I have to let go. He looks me in the eyes and smiles. My eyes tear up and he says "You promised you wouldn't cry anymore, you know I hate when you cry." Right then he grabs my hand and kisses me on the forehead again and then lets go of my hands and turns and starts to run away. I reach out to him and yell "I love you". Right then I feel something pull on me and I wake up. A tear streamed down my face. I could still feel where he kissed my forehead and it was slightly wet from his lips. I could feel the warmth of his hand in mine. It felt so real, like I really met him in my dreams. Is it possible to meet someone you are connected to in real life, in your dreams? I almost want to call him and tell him about the dream and see if he too had the same dream.

I will tomorrow. I will try to go back to the same place, maybe he will meet me again.

ouch - romance. I know that you girls use it as we (guys) use sugar in our coffe. Too much sugar (romance) from you girls kills us to death. We try to save our liver by running away.

That's sexist =/ And it really isn't romance, it's love. Anyway, a girl can feel the opposite, as a boy can feel this. I know I have had dreams like this.

Its that the symbolism of him running away? I dont know because you know in a normal dream, I never feel as if I am being tugged or pulled back to my room. I can't even describe it. Its like I was moving warp speed being pulled away. Ive never experianced anything like this before.

I don't know about that, but it may be a mixture of something from inside the dream and something outside of it. Definitely Call him, though, i am a bit skeptical about shared dreaming, but this sounds different.

And I have never had a dream where someone has said "I have to wake up". Its like he knew he was dreaming and I knew I was dreaming. Oh, it's called Shared Dreaming. Interpretation can be very diferent. For example: "I have to wake up". You know that when you are in love, you leave in a kind of dreaming world and you see everything in a rosy colors, so "I have to wake up" can be - "I have to come back to a real world". Usually in all my dreams words do not have much sense, what I pay atention to is feelings - they never lie. If you feel sadness and "bye-bye" feelings ... So just call him to discover, compare and learn - "you have to go back the other way, where you came from, you can't go with me." Sorry, but probably you have to wake up and move too.
