Had my first lucid dream the other day!

It came out of the blue. I had read up on lucid dreaming many many months ago and found it fascinating. I tried for a quite awhile but was never able to achieve lucidity and I ended up giving up thinking id never be able to do it. On Saturday I took a nap around noon and had a false awakening in my bedroom. I grabbed my cellphone to see how long I napped for then i realized my bed was positioned differently then it normally is in my room. I instantly said "HOLY SHIT IM DREAMING!" I was so excited I wanted to try something before waking up, I tossed my phone into the air then stopped it about a foot above my hand with my mind. I then proceded to spin the phone while it floated mid air. All of a sudden I felt the room blackening or getting darker and I had a drunk dizzy feeling. I tried to spin because Ive read that helps maintain lucidity/dreams but I dropped to the floor then I woke up. Best nap ive ever had hands down. Since Saturday ive been reading up on everything I can find and doing everything I can to try and have another one.

Congrats man, just try not to get so excited next time, that's probably what caused you to wake up prematurely.

Yeah, i think im going to go as slow as I can next time. Really take in the fact that im dreaming. Look around my room see whats different etc, then if i feel i can, ill try and venture out.

Congrats. More will come in the near future. Try not to get too excited because if you get really exctied then there's a posibility that you might wake up from it.
