I can't control it???

I don't lucid dream much, but when I do I can't control it and it usually becomes frighting. What methods can I use to start actually controlling my dreams?

Believe that you can control it, when you're having it. Are you a good visualizer? If you aren't it may be tougher for you. If you are, all you have to do is imagine what will happen and believe that it will. Don't doubt it. Happy dreaming
