      Oooh, a newbie!

      Hello all!
I'm Tarot as you probably already figured out! I've known about lucid dreaming for awhile now, but my attempts to start them have mostly failed, due to a problem I will describe later.

Anyways, my main goals are to:
      1) Learn how to consistently lucid dream.
      2) Fly.

The flying part is really big for me, because I've had two dreams about flying and it's something I'd want to repeat. The first one, I didn't really fly, but I fell down the stairs in slow motion and before I managed to get hurt, I levitated myself in midair and righted myself so as to land on my feet. The second one, I was surrounded by enemies and I had this thin blanket wrapped around my arms and so I spread my arms and the blanket acted like wings and I flew up and started attacking my enemies from the air.

      Yeah, weird, I know.

Now onto the problem. Ever since I could form thoughts in my head, I did this thing where I'd make stories in my head to help me get to sleep. In order to lucid dream, I'd have to focus more on lucid dreaming than the stories and the stories are something I really don't want to give up. Any way I can keep my stories while still trying to lucid dream?

      Please and thank you.

      Hey Tarot, glad you came.

Stay motivated and consistent with your attempts, and you'll be lding soon enough. Here are also some popular threads on flying you should check out, including a tutorial:

As for your problem, perhaps you could use your stories as a way to enter into a WILD(in order to keep concentration/form dream scene)? There are two tutorials on WILDing if you haven't seen them already.

      Enjoy your stay,
