      Hiya ya all! I'm Emma

      ... And I just registered.
I thought I'd begin with saying I've never actually had a lucid dream, but then i realized that I might have...
I dreamt of being chased, and I hid in a big building with alot of corridors, like a maze. The chaser found me, and was just behind a wall, about to find me. Then I thought, wait a minute. Why would anyone chase me? This is a dream! Then I just walked straight through the walls to get out of the buildning, not seeing the chaser anymore. This = a lucid dream?

I don't remember it being very detailed, I think the dream was blurry and weird. Like a normal dream. Is this just because I don't remember it properly?

Well, anyhow, I'm happy to be here and eager to learn to have real and better lucid dreams! I find it really amazing and exciting. Hope it works for me...

Well a lucid dream basically just is being aware that you're dreaming So... although there IS different levels of lucidity. Like you can have a mild awareness of dreaming, while still accepting the dream world around you, or you can have full lucidity, where you are completely aware you're in a dream and that your physical body is currently sleeping

Lucid dreaming is an amazing experience! And you seem to have the will to learn it, so just keep at it and you'll be lucid dreaming in no time!

Just a quick tip, I don't know about your current dream recall (how well you remember dreams), but for some people it helps keeping a dream journal to increase recall (you basically just write each and every single dream you remember down in it). This way you can also see if there appears to be any patterns in your dreams, which can help you to point out dream signs and whatever which can help you pointing out and realising you're dreaming

Good luck to you and hope you'll enjoy it here!

      Hey Emma or Rustdoll
      Welcome on DV

You've certainly had an LD (Lucid Dream) since the difinition of an LD is to know you are dreaming. However, as SomeDreamer said, there are different level of lucidity. It might have been low consciousness... Maybe it was even just a subconscious lucidity. I'm not saying your consciousness sucked, just saying that depending on which kind of lucidity, you might be surprised by how cooler it will get. I myself never had perfect consciousness, just partial ones. So I'm sure you'll get really good ones soon if you try your best.

Good luck with your journey to lucidness
