Thread: 'sort of' lucid?

I had a dream a couple of nights ago (haven't had computer access since then to ask) where I was... I guess kind of lucid?

I was at a store, and everything was playing out like a normal non-lucid dream, and I decided I wanted a chocolate bar, so I walked over and grabbed one.

I had no idea I was dreaming, but I seem to have controlled myself into getting a chocolate bar. Is this progress towards becoming lucid? A normal thing? Just plain strange?

last night i had a dream where i wanted tacos so i got in my car and drove to taco bell and bought a bunch of tacos, i wasnt lucid because i didnt realize i was dreaming and niether did you

I always control my dreams, even if I don't know what I'm dreaming. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that I control all of my actions like real life. If I want a chocolate bar, I get it, whether I think I'm dreaming or not. I don't think it could really be called lucid. Lucidity and awareness are synonymous, so you have to be aware that you're dreaming for it to be lucid.
