      Trouble with WILD

      Does it matter which position you lie down in? i usually sleep on my left side and every time ive attempted the WILD ive done it on my back and I always have to swallow every couple of minutes which i heard screws everything up, but it seems impossible for me to not swallow and i ultimately just give up.
      what should i do?

      If you are more comfortable on your side, by all means, WILD on your side! There are no set rules for WILDing. It's all about getting yourself in a state where you have a clear, yet occupied mind, so that your body can get to sleep but your mind can stay awake. If you can better reach this state on your side, nothing is stopping you!

      As far as swallowing your spit, I think it is fine as long as you stop swallowing once SP starts to kick in. After that, absolute stillness is necessary. (For most people, anyways. Like I said, no set rules! Just wise guidlines.)

      Try again on your back, but this time, get rid of your pillow. With your head leaning further back you'll be less likely to feel like you have to swallow as well as get more air to your lungs, and thus increase your awareness.
