      Why is remebering your dream so important?

      Ive been reading about lucid dreaming, i have understood all about the dream journal but what i still cant fully get is why is remembering your dreams is a important part in lucid dreaming? are you suppose to remember the previous dream your having when WBTW or something in order to go back in to the previous dream and know from that point that your dreaming?

      or why is it so important to remember your lucid dreams?

      I don't really get if this is a troll post or not I mean it's kinda obvious. What's the fun in lucid dreaming if you can't remember them in the first place?

      Also helps you find dream signs, if you don't know of common themes, then you won't do a reality check then.

      Well, if you can't remember your dreams, what is the point of having a lucid dream. Shift and ninja's points were also very valid, and for me, when recall is good, vividness is much better. I tend only to acheive a DILD in vivid dreams, so it helps very much for my LD count.
      Haven't had a lucid dream in 3 years, and I'm looking to get back into it.

      Why would you want to lucid dream if you can't remember it? Also to interpret them.

      Eh, in my opinion, interpretation is useless. I have dreams about donkey kong and magic ghosts... there isnt any book that can interpret that.
      Haven't had a lucid dream in 3 years, and I'm looking to get back into it.
