well what i have been doing was before i go to sleep i say (in my head) i am going to have a lucid dream several times, and i heard that if you write on you hand a word or phrase and when you look at it in a dream it will say something different. do you have any other little tips that worked for you when you first tried having lucid dreams? thanks

First thing first, start a Dream Journal if you haven't already. Then you can start establishing dream signs, which you will look for in both real life and your dreams. That's probably the easiest way for newbies to get lucid, and help them get better in the long run. Autosuggestion is also good, which is what you are doing. Keep it up!
