      Hi everybody
I've had a few moments of unintentional lucidity, and am aware of several signs that I am dreaming, but I always seem to wake up just after I realise it. What should I do? I have a pretty good dream recall and my dream signs are in lots of my non-lucid dreams but I don't normally notice them till afterwards.

      Hello, welcome to the forum

Sounds like will be lucid dreaming in no time. As far as waking up as soon as you realize you are dreaming, this is normal for noobies. I think the cause of this is that you get too excited to remain in the dream.

If you haven't already, I suggest you read the reality checking tutorial. Work on your awareness during the day.

Sorry for hi-jacking the thread, but i just can't stand that people do not know the difference between a noob and a newbie.

Best article about it found: http://www.wikihow.com/Define-the-Di...b-and-a-Newbie

      Good luck on LD'ing.

The best thing to do it just stay the course. What's happening is your brain doesn't understand how it can be dreaming and aware of it, so it turns on the logical centre of the brain to try and figure it out. This wakes you up. After a while, your brain will get used to it and will no longer need to wake you up to figure out what's going on.

This is probably the only plausible reason for anyone to wake up... Because getting excited is definitely not a reason to.

      Just pointing that out.
Success comes to those who are not afraid of failing.
