Hi - back to the scene

      Hey there.
Lucid dreaming is something I did quite a few years back to overcome nightmares. I took for granted what I could do when I was 8 and now am struggling to do it again. This community seems pretty cool and i'm confident i'll be having lucid dreams once more.

As far as getting started goes, any recommendations?
I'm going to get into a habit of keeping a dream journal and performing reality checks throughout the day.

      Cheers.

Well, this site has loads of tutorials!

I'd recommend watching some youtube videos as well, mainly ones by ReeseJones87

      That playlist is good.

Also a personal opinion on reality checks. Look at your dreams and think about what kind of atmosphere they often have, realative to where you live your daily life.
For example, for me, most of my daily life in the summer consists of either being at home on my computer, researching, chatting, or learning about lucid dreaming, OR being outside or at a friends house or at a party. and my dreams take place in the latter, so doing reality checks at home all day wont leak into my dreams. but doing reality checks when I'm out and on the go, will. goodluck!

      Oh, and welcome! ;D
      good times

Thanks for the tip on reality checks.

After forgetting my alarm was still set to 5:30 from the previous day I turned it off and went back to sleep. The dream I had in the hour before waking up once more was one of the most vivid I have ever experienced. Whilst this was an unintentional WBTB, and there was no lucidity, it worked wonders as far as dream recall goes.

Think I should hold back from using WBTB this soon?

It couldn't hurt to try. get some practice in relaxing your body and whatnot, that's what I'm doing. I find each time I attempt a WILD while wbtbing I feel like I get a tiny bit clsoer to achieving it
