Smile Hello! I'm new here. Got my first LD yesterday

      Hi everyone!

I'm starting on this pratice of having LD. I've read about this in a book, where a brazilian guy named Amyr Klink crossed the South Atlantic ocean alone, in a small boat, and he had to wake up many times during the night.
So, he started to remember his dreams and learned to control himself in the dreams.
And them I thought "Damn! Is it possible?", and started my searchs about this subject. I will tell my 1 month experience about it. I'm learning english, so, sorry in advance about any eventual mistake.

I started this pratice one month ago. Just a pen and a note on the side of the bed. In the beginning I was so scared about doing this. I'm not religious, neither believe in something out of the physical world. But it seems our beliefs changes a little when the lights are off :-)

Well, I became to take notes of my dreams. Some of them I remembered a lot of details. I even made some drawings about it. Others, I had just some vague impressions. Yesterday, one month after begin taking notes, I had my first (that I remember) lucid dream

I was with my girl in a shopping center with her father. She looked at me and said "Renan, it's not real" and gave me a spoon. I took the spoon and remembered the Matrix movie. I wish the spoon to crook, like in the movie. It happened slowly. "Caralho, I'm dreaming!" ("Caralho" would be like... "Holy s***!" in my language). Then I thought "Is there a way to taste something in a dream? I wish a strawberry to appear in the spoon. Nothing happened.

Then I started to walk around in the mall. I met some friends, but could not understand what where they talking. I was noting the details of the place I was dreaming. Then I tought "I'm on my bed! And I'm here!! But I'm on my bed!!!". Then I started to feel like I was floating on the air. I thought I was waking up, and started to pay atention on the details of the mall, to avoid this. It worked :-)

I came back to my girlfriend, and took his hand. I felt his hand like it was RL! Then I kissed her. And again, felt like in RL. Amazing. Then a old woman appeared, and wanted to hug me. I gave her a hug, and suddenly, I was blind! I heard her voice saying something like "I'm in your house more time than you think." I did not became scared, but the sensation of floating in the air started again, and I did nothing to stop, then I woke up.

Wow. That was an interesting read. Anyways, your experience is a very common one, but lucid dreaming seems to come very easily to you. I remember I read about it on Wikipedia, and ever since then I had random lucids. I decided to research the possibilities of inducing them, and ended up here. I would suggest creating a Dream Journal here if you wish to remember more dreams, and possibly increase the number of lucids. I've had an average of about 4 lucids a month here, and that's with my 2 month absence.

      Welcome to the site.

Also, I know a little bit of Spanish (that's what you speak, right?). Possibly enough to help you translate some things better, but not enough to converse.

Hello! Good night (here is 01:10 AM). Thank you for the answer.

I think I dream every night and can remember after wake up, but if I don't write it or tell to somebody, I forget the dreams. It seems to be a very common thing. Anyway, the site is great. I'm reading the others experiences and thoughts, and it is being very good for my LD training.

I hope it can help me to improve my english too, since I have to write, and somethimes think in english to express my ideas.

Fell free to correct me if you want to, it will help me :-)

And, no, I don't talk spanish, I'm brazilian, here we talk portuguese. But don't worry. I feel ok to write in english. I just hope my text don't seems incomprehensible to the natural english speakers. If it sounds like Borat or Fez talking, that's ok for now

Well, I'm gonna sleep now. Hope I don't find that old woman again. She kinda scares me now that I'm awake.

      Good night!

It's alright. One of my adoptees (sort of a teacher-student program here on DV) spoke French and Spanish as his first and second language. We have a few people here (actually, probably closer to 4 or 5%) who don't speak native English. We'll work around it.

Tomorrow morning, create a dream journal with all the dreams you remembered. You won't be sorry you did it.

      Grats on your lucid.
"I came back to my girlfriend, and took his hand. I felt his hand like it was RL"!
      Took his hand?
      Heh'

"You don't have to worry about anything here, you're going to wake up now, but you may come back whenever you like."

      Oh!
I mean "I took HER hand", hahaha Her hand. The hand of my GIRLfriend.

Four LD for month mean... almost one LD/Week O.O!! That's rly good.

I'll try to create the on-line journal. But all the dreams are non-sense ones.

Today I could not rebember my sleep. I woke up, and then I fall asleep... damn! I remember now. I'll try to rebember some things and write.

      Have to go work now.

      Have a nice weekend :-)
