On The Right Track?

I've been trying to lucid dream for close to a year now. Its been widely unsuccessful; indeed, the closest I came to achieving lucidity was the first night I found out about Lucid Dreaming, as is probably normal. It is true that I've been slacking off on the dream journals and the constant reinforcement. But I have a new initiative. I've tried the whole DILD thing for about a year now because its the 'easiest' to do. It requires the least work, at least, outside of sleeping. But I'm working on a new method. I've started visualizing a 'gateway' to my lucid dreams. I hope to use this technique in conjunction with WILDing. Basically, I've created a very detailed scene in my head. I won't bore you with the details, but it is simply a large crystal arch that looks out onto my dreamscape; an open expanse of hills and grassland...etc. My hopes are that if I continually visualize this place during my waking life and think of lucid dreaming, I will think of it in my dreams and link it to lucid dreaming. I can also try to picture it when WILDing. Does it sound promising?

Yeah it may work. Did you have any luck yet dreaming of that vision? Maybe you could also add doing a RC to the whole thing, else you *might* not become lucid once you dream of it.
