I think the Nova Dreamer 2 is supposed to be released sometime in the near future. You can still pick up Nova Dreamers and Dream Makers on ebay but they're a few hundred American bucks and from what I've heard are a far cry from being the golden key to lucidland.

I've got a programmable vibrating watch which is a great gimmick and helps keep me on track with my reality testing, but it cost a couple of hundred bucks and doesn't get me lucid any more than a cheap ordinary digital watch would.

IMO the best bang for your buck would be to invest in a bottle of apple juice and drink it half an hour before bed.

Thanks DreamQueen… I had a failed back operation a few years ago, so I am very, very inactive… It’s amazing what chronic pain will do to you… It takes all choices away from you… It dictates what you can and can’t do… I can’t stand for more then about a half hour, or sit for the same, so when I am hurting from sitting, I get up and do some light house hold chores, and when it starts hurting from that I sit back down… The one thing I can do long term is lay flat on my back in my Lazy boy chair… I have learned to except my new way of life and it’s not so bad… but I got thinking about lucid dreaming and that I could have this whole new adventuress side life… I do seem to sleep a lot to escape the pain, and I do dream a lot, and once in a while it is lucid, but I thought if I could improve on that, it would give me a whole new side to life…

What does apple juice do…. Thanks again … Noel

I'm kinda over the Nova Dreamer

So, I've had this Nova Dreamer for about 8 mos. I used it every night for about 2 mos. I received nothing. It ends up on the side of my bed or falls to the floor. It's supposed to detect REM and other light sources in my room. It rarely does that. I set it and I even spoke with that Bruce guy. All I want it to do is blink maybe a few times every minute or every other minute. But it's just set to this REM detection mode. I notice that when I hear sounds or flashing lights, sometimes they spill into my dream. That's when I realize that I'm dreaming. Can someone help me set my Nova dreamer otherwise I'm just gonna give up on it and slang it on Ebay. Or, if someone knows of another technology that can aid in Lucid dreaming? I would forever be in debt to you. Thank you kindly,

      Carlos

I really don't think any of the expensive devices are worth it. To have lucid dreams you have to put in the work of reality checks or learning to WILD, and something like the novadreamer doesn't change that

If they do work, I would think more of us would use them. Maybe the newer ones will be better.
