Hi,

I began lucid dreaming about ten years ago. I was really into Castaneda at the time and was using some of his techniques to become more lucid. Back then I was having lucid dreams almost every other night.

Somehow I got pulled back into the dream we call ordinary life and stopped having regular lucid dreams for a while. I was teaching math at the time and wanted to spend a lot of time being the best teacher I could be. Working a lot of overtime, so a lot of my dream practice got lost.

Anyhow I am now working part time and my lucid dreams have seemed to come back significantly. But it is still something that happens once a week or once every other week for me.

I am currently studying to become a Waldorf teacher. It is interesting that Waldorf's founder, Rudolf Steiner also wrote about the possibility of lucid dreams, although he did not call them that. A lot of Steiner's techniques are similiar to Castaneda's as well. I am hoping that I can find a way to incorporate lucidity into my teaching so that teaching and dreaming are not mutually exclusive things. Our schools could benefit from a few more teachers that are lucid rather than overworked, dry bores.

Anyhow, I am glad to be lucid dreaming more regularly and look forward to learning what I can from people here. I am interested in how people use dreaming to learn more about themselves and confront the hidden aspects of ourselves.
Namaste
