      "Waking Lucid Dreams"?

      hi all,

today i saw something on the web about this person who uses "waking lucid dreams" therapeutically.

i am guessing this means that you don't wait until you are technically asleep though you may get imagery.

      http://www.dreamhawk.com/lucdrem.htm

it's by tony crisp who has written about dreams a bit and he says that dreams can enter the conscious state at some point, such that:

So one of the keys we used to unlock the dream process into consciousness was the release of muscular tension. I discovered that most people have unconscious muscular tension. If this is made conscious by having the person become aware of it, what was unconscious is already emerging into consciousness. If the tension is then given time to release, with a body and mental attitude of acceptance, spontaneous movements begin.

      It goes on and on.

Is this talked about much on DV by another name? If so, what? Apparently the sleep paralysis ends and it can lead to much healing and creativity.
I am also curious because I believe I have had experiences like this myself.

I think another aspect of this may be when there is an end to one dream and you can reenter a dream (like a DEILD) only you are conscious this time.

We always seem to assume one is in SP during LD... but... is that true?

      Thanks,
      beachgirl

Hmm. I suppose you could easily liken this to a VILD. Or V-WILD you may call it. Here's a guide, (never mind I can't find Arby's darn guide. I think it was Arby's... Right?) But yeah, in a VILD you have gone asleep but you have gone asleep whilst running a detailed fantasy through in your head. It can take a while but the end goal is that the fantasy eventually will have (gradually) turned itself into a full on dream.

Would you say that is the same thing?
