Your question is not that easy to answer because its both yes and no, its kind of a faith thing. If you believe it then you can and if you dont believe it then you cant. Its like bigfoot, for the ones that seen it its real and for the ones that have not it is just a fake story. One thing though, if you are trying to connect to others dreams ask them first. ^_^

I dont see why not, If your talking about sex I would recommend that your both of appropriate age and that your both lucid. If your not its much like rape. If your just being friends and hanging out then there's no problem. I believe it to be a faith thing so if you think you can then you can, just make it your goal and go for it your limited only by your imagination. I would try to be more relaxed and refrain from dual posting though.

Well, you can't have the same dream. Er...at least I don't think so. A few people here would argue otherwise, but whatever. You can still summon them into your dream, but they're only there in your mind, not in real life.

I think it is possible to share dreams, and there are a lot of posts about the idea on the board.......

I think it would take a master at the art of lucid dreaming, well two masters I guess, to be so tuned in where this becomes possible... but if just you were lucid you could still do whatever you wanted with your crush

It happens spontaneously (sp?, whatever ) with people also..... maybe because they have lived together/know each other for a long time and are deeply connected

I lived with an ex for 2 years... and during that time we shared 3 dreams. We didn't try to do this, just woke up with nearly the same story to tell of our dream..... the dreams were very very similar to each other, though not exact......

I wonder if sharing dreams happens with people every night without anyone actively trying to make it happen.... like on different sides of the globe, that don't even know each other

O_o...Oro? I don't get it. Ich haben ein brecht vorn mein kopf. Etc.

Are you saying that you dream that you get a papercut, then wake up with it in real life, or am I really lost?

If that's what you meant, chances are at some point while you were asleep, you got the papercut and the sensations from that cut were then incorporated into your dream. For example, if you sleep with the radio on, chances are you'll have music in your dreams.

Shared dreaming is one of those things that you have to experience before you really can believe it, and since I haven't had one I'm slightly skeptic too, but I don't rule out the possibility of them.

I have a suggestion of what may have happened in some of the cases of shared dreams, but it would only be true for more common dreams. When I dream I dream about something I have done the same day, the days before or something I worry about that's coming soon almost every night, at least to some extent. For example 3 days ago I saw Ocean's Twelve and National Treasure on the same day. During one of my dreams that night I was Brad Pitt and my best friend was Nicholas Cage's nervous partner. So if you live very close with someone and you do the same things day in and day out chances are that eventually you will have a dream very similar to them. I don't know how often people talk about their dreams really. If you usually don't do it very often and then one morning ask the other to write down their dream if they had a dream about you, and you then write down your dream and you then exchange papers and they are the same it would probably be a shared dream. On the other hand if you always talk about dreams and then the 500th dream you talk about is very close to what the other one experienced I would call it coincidence.
