Welcome to the forums, pc2dj. Yeah, in the beginning dream recall can be kind of spotty, but just keep journalling and it'll come to you. No matter how little you remember, write it down in your journal and you'll eventually strengthen those dream recall muscles and remember your dreams regularly. |

Do we have days when we don't dream? Or is it just that we don't recall it? These few days I don't feel like I have dreamed at all. |

You dream about 5-7 times in an average sleep everyday. there is also no special day where you can't recall. You can recall everyday the same. |

From what I've gathered, stress and fatigue are key factors when it comes to recalling dreams. If I've had a tedious week I find that dream sparingly in contrast to a relaxed one. And interestingly, if I happen to be depressed, I tend to dream more vividly and abstractly than I otherwise would. |

:welcom: to dreamviews...I too am a newbie, joined a week ago. Have you ever tried repeating mantras when going to bed? I normally only remember a few dreams a night, but when I repeat stuff like..."I will remember my dreams", I almost always remember at least a few dreams. The first time I did that a few weeks ago...I remember 5 dreams that night 4 short ones...same nightmare 4 times, and 1 long dream. That night I also repeated "I will become lucid in my dreams", and "I will realize I am dreaming", and I became lucid at the end of the nightmare all four times I remember having it that night! So I would say that that was my first intentional lucid dream...I have had a few before...just realized I was dreaming but I did not know I could do anything...(most of the time it was in a nightmare at the bad part so I woke myself up...which sucks that I don't remember one good lucid dream.) |
