Unfortunately, it seems stress and trouble is a part of the human condition. It sounds to me like you are extremely stressed out, which will certainly affect your dream recall and your ability to get lucid.

Is there any way you can make a change to eliminate some of this stress from your life? If not, you might want to practice meditation or take up a new hobby or activity to help you deal with the stress. A strenuous physical interest like running, bicycling or swimming can help.

One thing that I remember a relative of mine telling me. If you have a lot of stress... write down your problems on a piece of paper, EVERYTHING that you are worrying about or that is causing you stress. Then when you go to bed, remind yourself over and over that ALL your worries are on that piece of paper, and that they will be there in the morning for you to think about, that there is no point in worrying about them while sleeping.

It's like temporarily taking the worries off of your shoulder.

Try it and let us know if it works for you!

Try to take a walk every day for at least 30-60 minutes. For me that has always been a great way to relax. You could also try meditating.

      Good luck.

OOoooh! Try ear plugs! That always helps me remove myself from where I am. It makes me forget my surroundings.

I do the same. Just put on some music and walk around. Except for me I go out to my swing-set and swing and listen to music. And it's truly beautiful where I live, because I can see thousands of stars while swinging. Most peaceful thing I do almost every night
