      Dreaming blackouts

K i really need help. So far i've had about 3 lucid dreams, and in all 3 of them, the moment i become lucid the entire dream scene disappears and it goes pitch black, before i can spin to stabilize. This usually results in a false awakening and my tricky brain has many new ways to trick me, so ive been tricked all three times of false awakenings...help? =/

How long do you generally have before the Lucidity ends?, for me i had roughly 3 seconds. i know this is gonna be hard to do, but try to stare at and rub your hands within that Black state, you should be able to see your hands asif they themselves are unaffected by exterior lighting, rubbing hands helps to elongate and stabilize lucidity, Good luck

if you cant see your hands, then i dont know how to help :/

When everything starts to go black, it doesn't mean the dream is over. I read somewhere that sight is always the first sense to go, and touch is the last. Since this is true, it's generally good to use touch to bring you back into a dream. It's tricky, but just practice for a while, and you'll get the hang of it.

You will find with practice that the dream no longer blacks out.

Excitement can on many occasions short circuit the dream causing it to either change, black out, lose lucidity or you will wake up. With practice your brain learns to hold onto the dreams and you learn to control your emotions better.

My advice would be to sit in bed before sleep and relax your mind. Pretend you are in a dream any dream, and then you pretend you achieve lucidity anyway you like. Once you have achieved this state see the dream remaining clear, feel the strength of the dream and your ability to manipulate and control your environment. See your self waking up at will and recording your dream.

Practice this a few times and you will find it will have made a huge impact on your dream stability. If you would like something more immediate, do a RC every time you wake up from a dream, that way and FA will turn into a lucid dream.
