      A question about "Prophetic Dreams"

I am just wondering. From time to time I find myself having EXTREME De-Ja-Vous where I have had conversations in my dreams with enough accuracy and recollection to be able to approximate responses in real life. I have met people in my dreams that I have randomly met weeks and months later, and also predicted the death of my second and third cousins with some accuracy. My cousin died of AIDS, and she herself didn't even know she had it, and I knew months before. (I had a dream that was so real, the next morning I asked my mom when Kelly was diagnosed and my mom looked at me like I was crazy and told me Kelly didn't have AIDS).

Has anyone here had experience with this? Is it possible to induce these kinds of dreams? Am I special or just crazy? I have discussed the topic with a few people who didn't believe me but I think if it continues and I am the only one thats done this I might just go mad. Thanks ahead of time.

I have Dejavu's But they never seem to be important, sounds like you picked something up that was important but didnt know to act on it. Ive got a Theorie bout DEjavu's. Maybe there are alternate universes right with you an me living in them but we are conected somehow an when something goes down in one we feel it in ours an thats the Dejavu well one idea.

Had a similar, less important prophetic dream. I am 100% sure that I dreamed about an event before it happened, down to every word spoken and every person present at the time. Freaky.

i dont believe ive ever had a prophetic dream, but ive read about them. from what ive read, they are always in color and always seqeuntial. and you are defintetly not the only one who has had them. but i believe that many people think they have prophetic dreams but dont, because its some weird deja vu thing or its in there head... who really knows...

Well like others have said, you are not the only one this happens to..... I think our dreams always contain pieces of things yet to come, it is just some people realize it and others never do.......

I have not experienced it personally to the extent that you have, but have received omens through dreams that were so strong I had to obey them..... on Halloween a friend and I were going to drive to a rave/party but I had a dream that on the trip home the axle on my car broke and we wrecked.... my friend died in the dream so I refused to go....

Have you ever heard of Edgar Cayce? they called him the sleeping prophet because he was really good at having prophetic dreams, which were extremely accurate.... there is even an Edgar Cayce Research of Enlightenment Center in Viginia, US ....

check him out, should make you feel not so alone......

I've had dreams such as yours, I've also experienced visions when awake that happened within seconds. From my understanding you should be able to increase this gift through meditation and other things of that nature. I myself view this gift as a door that opens when needed and closes when not needed and I intend to look for this door within my lucid dreams and open it. The only problem I've had with this approach is that I am easily distracted with the freedom of the dream world.

I've never had that happen in real life, but I've recently been experience "omniscience" in my dreams. When I'm awake, I do feel that I've already been through situations before (ie. in a dream), but I doubt it. Especially in the past couple of weeks or so, I've been having dreams where I feel that I've been through the exact dream before and know exactly what's going to happen. I believe in the Bible, so I know that prophetic dreams have happened before, but I'm more skeptic about them today.

I've got a theory on this.. I wrote a topic about it, and am hoping for some responses so I can gauge how accurate it is.

Hehe its only a theory, no one has to agree with it. It woulda been cool to have some more responses to gauge how acurate it was though.. or if certain parts were spot on but couple were not or however it worked out.

To be honest tho, i dont think we will ever really know for sure.

In my opinion, if you really want to learn about the nature of prophetic dreams, or clairvoyance in any form, you should do some reasearch on eastern religions/spirituality... or quantum physics...

Both have the same underlying principle, oneness.....

      Some good books

The Tao of Physics, By Ftijof Capra (this is a really good book, a smaller title on it reads, An Exploration of the Parallels between Modern Physics and Eastern Mysticism)
How To Know God, By Deepak Chopra
The Wheels of Life, By Anodea Judith
      Astral Dynamics, By Robert Bruce

      A quote from Chopras book
"The quantum world is a place of blurry edges and uncertain outcomes. As we have seen, the things that seem so well defined in the material world turn into shadowy phantoms the deeper we go into the unmanifest domain. Time is no exception, and at a certain level of reality it hardly exists. When the boundaries of time dissolve completely, it is possible to experience a kind of mental time travel called clairvoyance."

      Good luck
