      False Awakening Waking Me Up

Today I got home from school and decided to take nap after being so tired. I was asleep for about 3 hours and I remember I was dreaming and realized it but as soon as I did, the dream ended. It was so fast that i can't even remember the dream. But it was only a false awakening and in my dream i was going about normally as if i had really woken up. And in my dream when i realized i was dreaming i woke up for real. This is my first time ever becoming close to realizing I was in a dream and having such a vivid memory of it. I have been trying for about the past three weeks to WILD with no avail. But now i take a nap and without even trying almost attain lucidity. Thanks for reading, but I was wondering if taking naps was an easier way to improve the chance of becoming lucid. Also, i would like to know why we even dream during naps if they are so short?

      Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, afternoon naps are good times to attempt WILDing. But I can't say definitively why we can dream during naps, although I do know that dreaming isn't exclusively found in REM sleep.
