New Here, need help with Dream Recall

I discovered the wonderful world of lucid dreaming and I have had a few already, but they have not been very vivid. I have done everything I can to get another lucid dream: write in a dream journal, do reality checks, set the intention to have the lucid dream and everything else! I still can't remember my dreams. How do I improve on this?(BTW I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night to recall my dreams, seeing as I am a student)

Squaddle pretty much said it all, but it might also help to write down that you want your dream recall to improve and don't stress about it (meditation helps with this). It may take time so if you don't see any improvement in a few days or even weeks just DON'T stress about it

( ) Enhance my dream recall significantly
( ) Increase the number of dreams I remember each night
( ) Have lucid dreams once again

It is not hard... just get into a comfortable position preferably sitting down monk style if you're not planning to go to sleep.

Close your eye, only think of your breath, in and out.. push aside any thoughts, it's fine if they come, just push them out, I find taht when I meditate I don't have much thoughts since I know I have no interest at the time other than meditating.

I remember all my dream... cept that one time yesterday or the day before in a NREM... the dream was just so short.. prolly why i dun remember... or just my imagination imagining stuff..

I remember all my dreams.... well mainly because I only have dreams after I wake up in the middle of the night... at 4am or so.

For most part I remember everything.... today I lost so bits and pieces but the ovrall chunk is good to go.
I had 2 dream today /yesterday's night/w/e out of the usual 4-5 because I didnt rc enough... prolly or get engaged in the dreaming process... but not over excite though.
As long as you believe you'll get there

Also try to be aware of your surroundings... check Dream Yoga method search the forum it where you take ur time u observe ur room... make imaginary map to connect this room to all other room in the area.... this will let you know in your dream... i Just teleported.... this is in the wrong place, or... this doesn't look like the real thing and etc

A few things you could try that have helped me. Have you tried repeating mantras? Before I knew about lucid dreaming, I remembered a dream only every other week. Now I remember 3-4, sometimes 5 a night. So, the first day I heard about lucid dreaming, at night I repeated over and over for a long time, "I will remember my dreams", and "I will realize I am dreaming when I am dreaming". Well you know what? I remember 5 dreams that very night, 3 of them being 10-seconds long lucids! Going from one every other week to 5 dreams is pretty good. So try that.
Another thing you could do is set your alarm to go off after 3-5 hours of sleep. It will hopefully wake you up from a dream, or you would of had a dream recent enough to remember. If you don't remember any, try setting it to go if in 15-30 minutes, and tell yourself you will remember your dream.

You have a bunch of dreams every night, just most people don't remember them. It's fun to remember 3-5 a night, most of mine are SO wierd(not trying to brag)
So try the mantras for a few night, and if that doesn't work, try the alarm thing. Hope this helps! Post your results in a few days.

I had 8 Dreams, 5-6 were lucids just this morning! Read about it here:http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=91203
I got to 6 dreams a night doing the things I said above. It is really easy to repeat mantras for 10-20 minutes for you fall asleep, so try that.

I have done these mantras but I just seem to suck at dream recall.

I have not, since I am a student and don't have the time. Also, If I am waken up abruptly, I have trouble going back to sleep.
