We all go through dry spells on occasion. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Chances are, soon the dry spell will break and you will be flooded with plenty of rememberances! |

So it has been a couple nights since i have been able to recall any dreams whatsoever. Now i am probably being unpatient and am about to go to bed and hopefully i shall be able to have some recall. I blame it on the accounting test i had this week and being abruptly woken by a loud beeping alarm clock. I cannot seem to be able to focus on meditation before sleeping which i think may be one of the larger factors. anyways i apologize for the ramblings i just had to vent a little. Anyways sweet dreams everyone |

Well, if you can, try waking up between 3 and 5 hours after you go to bed. This should interrupt an REM cycle, thus you'll be able to remember the dream. You might not always succeed on the first night, because you didn't exactly hit an REM cycle when you woke up, or you have different REM cycle timings than most people (Usually most REM cycles occur between 3 & 5 hours of sleep, but some people have them as soon as 1 hour after falling asleep). |

Stress does often have a detrimental effect on dream recall, so I'd recommend using some method to relax before you go to bed. Spend about 10 minutes or so, and do something enjoyable that'll keep your mind off of whatever's bothering you. Listen to music, read a book, watch a humorous show. Just give yourself some time to wind down and don't let stress put you to sleep. It's a terrible sandman! |
