I managed to LD in the end

Hi im new and this is my first post. I joined the board in november 2004. I read a lot of the techniques, and took loads of handwritten notes, because when i write stuff it gets drilled into my head like at college. After trying the techniques for a few weeks i wasnt getting anyway, and i sort of gave up. I tried again at the beginning of january but still got no results, and i tried the brainwave generator preset aswel. Last night i was about to give up, and i thought "right im not gonna try any of the theories tonight im just gonna sleep" and then i fell asleep. I had about 2 dreams that i have forgotten, and i was woken up by my mum because she wanted to know when i was off to college. After i fell back asleep, i was dreaming that i was at my friends house, and his mum was cleaning the bathroom, and then i went into his kitchen (which was suprisingly on the wrong side of the house, leading into the street rather than the back garden) and my girlfreind was there. I was looking around and i thought "hey this is a dream" and i looked at the cupboards etc and i thought yeah im dreaming, and i hugged my girlfreind and said "y'know that dreaming thing i tried to tell you about, well its happening now:O" (despite her being a dream charactor and not a real girl) and then i started kicking stuff down his stairs and messing up his house for fun, not sure why. i think i might not have been fully lucid because i wasnt really thinking properly, i was kinda like being drunk. I went into the street and some kids called me a mosher but then they shut up cos i got mad, and my friends mum came out of the house shouting, and i punched myself in the arm to see if it hurt, and to make myself wake up. It didnt hurt, but i could feel it. then i just woke up by willing myself to. funny ol' world init, i got up and wrote it down cos i was forgetting.

Congratulations !, something similar happened to me, I tried WILD, MILD, and other methods and nothing happened. And suddenly, without trying anything, I had a LD by DILD. That experience made me realize that LDs are possible and now I'm trying to be able to induce them more often.

Congrats! It's wierd how that stuff often happens, but hopefully now the others will start to come easier. If you have any questions about anything feel free to ask. Hope school's going well. It's killing me, personally. -Amé
